"When you have reached your own room, be kind to those who have chosen different doors and to those who are still in the hall." C.S. Lewis
Patricia “Trish” Welday joined Faw Casson in 2025 as Chief Operating Officer, bringing with her a deep well of leadership experience across both public and private sectors. A proud University of Delaware graduate, Trish earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Psychology and Sociology. Her professional journey into executive leadership began in earnest in 2018 when she became CEO of a local trade association. Prior to that, she spent more than two decades in strategic director and management roles. Trish is currently pursuing her SHRM-SCP certification, fitting for someone who has always been driven by the belief that empowering people is key to building exceptional organizations.
Those who work closely with Trish describe her as goal-oriented and confident, but also deeply genuine. She has a natural ability to inspire trust and loyalty, combining big-picture thinking with clear, actionable vision. You won’t find her chasing prestige; Trish is about purpose. She leads with strong core values and a strategic mind that quickly cuts through noise to find the best path forward. Her ability to connect with others, foster collaboration, and bring teams into alignment has become a hallmark of her leadership style.
But Trish isn’t just about strategy and systems. She’s good-spirited, hardworking, and incredibly consistent. Whether she’s mentoring staff, managing firmwide initiatives, or listening intently during a team huddle, she brings the same energy and thoughtfulness every day. She finds deep satisfaction in helping others grow into their potential and sees every challenge as a chance to build something better. Her approach is equal parts brain and heart, a balance that makes her not just effective, but truly respected.
Community service is close to Trish’s heart. She actively volunteers with Friends of the Fallen, an organization that supports families of military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Her dedication to causes that uplift and honor others is a natural extension of her values; quietly powerful and always sincere. She’s also a member of SHRM and the American Management Association and serves as a Notary Public, further reflecting her commitment to professional and civic engagement.
Outside the office, Trish is fueled by nature and movement. Whether she’s hiking, kickboxing, or baking up something sweet for one of “all the occasions,” she finds joy in staying active and connected. She’s a puzzle-solver in every sense, word puzzles, jigsaws, strategy games, or business planning, it’s all fair game. A devoted mom to three boys, Trish also carves out time for Bible study and her women’s group, finding both peace and strength in faith and community. And for anyone keeping score, yes, she’s worked in all three branches of Delaware state government. If there’s a definition of “well-rounded and mission-driven,” it’s Trish Welday.
