Matthew P. Rosal, CPA

Senior Accountant

"It's golf. At the end of the day, just enjoy it. Have fun. You're lucky to be out here." - Nelly Korda

Matt Rosal didn’t stumble into accounting, he built his way into it, one logical step at a time. A Senior Accountant who joined Faw Casson in 2025, Matt brings a foundation that started back in the summer of 2018 as an audit intern in Washington, D.C. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from George Washington University in 2019, with concentrations in Accounting and Information Systems and minors in Economics and Computer Science, which is a fancy way of saying he genuinely enjoys both numbers and the systems behind them. After six years in D.C., he made the intentional move back home, trading city pace for community impact and bringing his experience full circle to where it all started.

If you spend five minutes around Matt, you’ll notice something right away...he’s the calm in the chaos. While deadlines are flying and inboxes are doing their usual tax-season meltdown, Matt is the guy who stays steady, keeps things moving, and somehow makes it all look manageable. Described as both “optimistic” and “chill” (a rare but effective combo), he leans into challenges with a level-headed approach that keeps teams grounded. He’s not loud about it, but he’s the type who shows up, figures things out, and quietly makes everyone else’s job easier.

Underneath that easygoing exterior is a brain that doesn’t really turn off. Matt’s naturally wired for deep thinking, problem-solving, and connecting the dots others might miss. He enjoys the kind of work where you have to dig in, analyze, and actually figure something out, not just check a box and move on. Pair that with his ability to build strong, genuine relationships, and you get someone who doesn’t just solve problems, he makes the process collaborative and productive. Whether it’s working through a complex issue or helping a teammate navigate something new, Matt brings a thoughtful, steady presence that people trust.

Outside of work, Matt’s interests are exactly what you’d expect from someone who balances focus with a little fun. He spends his time with family and friends, stays active through running and working out, and enjoys reading and writing when he wants to slow things down. He’s also an avid golfer, and not in the “casual weekend hack” sense. Matt made headlines as the first amateur golfer in five years to win the Delaware Mid-Open Championship, which is a pretty solid flex for someone who also casually solves accounting problems for a living. Throw in some video games here and there, and you’ve got someone who knows how to keep life balanced.
