“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Harold R. McAindon
Since 1998 Alison has been using this philosophy to inspire creative and proactive solutions that are tailored to our clients’ specific needs. An attentive and earnest listener, she takes the time to really understand what is at the core of our clients’ issues.
With Alison, client service is a true priority. She often makes herself available outside of generally accepted business hours in order to accommodate the people that depend on her. She understands that the hours that work for once business may not work for another and strives to assure that their service experience is not compromised because of it.
Graduating from University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Alison has been working in this area since 1998. She is the recipient of such distinctions as the BPW Young Careerist Award and the NAWBO Bridge Builder Award. She was named as Best Accountant in Sussex County from 2014 to 2017, and Best Charity Volunteer in 2016 by Coastal Style Magazine. In addition she serves on the Board of Ambassadors, the Charitable Gift Planning Advisory council, and the Finance Committee for the Beebe Medical Foundation; the Accounting and MIS Advisory Board for Lerner School of Business and a member of the Lerner Executive Program at the University of Delaware; and the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Children & Families First of Delaware. In 2015, she was appointed by Governor Jack Markell for a three year term as a member of the State Board of Accountancy, currently serving as the President. She is also active in many local organizations, previously serving in Executive Committee positions with the Delaware Society of CPAs, and served three years as Delaware’s designated member of the AICPA National Council.
